The Tubalado Family Badge of Forbearance
Family Badge is a way to promote arts as one of our family traditions. They are nice gift item to give to families and friends especially if you make your design suitable for any occasion. Shown on the sample badge of Eusebio & Crispolo Camp are two brothers, a fishing boat, two paddles, fishnets, ornamental fishes, orbs of spiritual lights, and a baby.
The Baby symbolizes the brothers' forbearance to survive, to learn, and adapt to a new livelihood so they taught themselves how to fish. They did not know how so like a Baby they try to catch it with their bare hands. The elemental sense is what they experience when they interact with local inhabitants, practices, and surroundings; they found it more animistic than the life they had in Moalboal.
Even at present days, right after sundown and light rain shower, you can observe one or two of these bluish lights frolicking around 'Tanon Strait.' Just parked your gaze half-way before the horizon towards Canlaon Mountains and the seashore where you stands. Be prepared, when goosebumps and hairs behind your neck raise up for no apparent reason.
"Dosbela" is a sailboat that the Brothers use to do trade across the Strait to Negros, Moalboal, and Sipaway Island. In the past, since these shorelines are accessible using this type of boat; relatives, family, and friends had to use Tanon Strait as their lifeline to Barter and Trade. In keeping it safe away from water surges and storm, the boat was kept under the ancestral home about two-hundred yards away from the shore.

A Tale of Two Brothers
On May 2014 at Louie Beach Resort, Tajao, Pinamungajan, Cebu; the Eusebio & Crispolo Clan Hosted Our Second Grand Reunion! “The road is long with many a winding turn that leads us to who knows where? Who knows when?” - He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother- First, the journey of two brothers to Bato, Toledo had laid the foundation of the two Clans in this area before it spread to Negros, Bohol, Manila, other parts of Cebu Province and Florida. And second, two sons of Crispolo, Nicanor and Prudencio grow-up fishing these waters in Tañon Strait; where Louie Beach is situated. Later on, Prudencio recounted this brotherly experienced in an unpublished work he submitted to ‘Visits From The Beyond Magazine’ on February 25, 1985. Here is an excerpt, “When it was calm after a heavy storm had subsided, we saw many balls of bluish white light about some kilometers away rolling on the surface of the sea, as if, they were chasing one another. Nicanor, told his younger brother about what they just saw. “Those are spiritual lights and they usually appear after heavy rains.” Why spiritual lights? Prudencio asked Nicanor, and he said; “they are the spirits of people who drowned, buried or killed at sea!”” You are welcome to share too, post your own family tale about two brothers.
